About me
My name is Jo Thacker
It takes a lot of courage to ask for help, I am here to listen to you. Whatever your story, talking about it will help you. By working together, you can improve your life. A better future is possible for you.
I am a qualified BACP Integrative Counsellor who offers a kind, caring, non-judgmental safe space for your sessions. Talking really does help. I am passionate about listening to people and will give you the time and space to talk. I have an interest in grief, trauma, and abuse with several years’ experience in this area. I have first hand experience of military life and understand the stresses and strains that come with that for serving personnel, veterans, their spouses and families.

My approach is integrative which means that I draw on a variety of different therapeutic approaches depending on what therapy might suit you best. I hope to help you understand yourself better to assist you in making positive changes in your life. Counselling can change your life for the better.
